Hello and thank you for visiting our webpage here at Columbus Career and College Academy (CCCA). CCCA is an exceptional high school opportunity for the students of Columbus County. I am honored and proud to be a part of a school staff that works so hard to prepare students for success after high school. The staff here do not just teach; they provide students inquiry based learning opportunities to teach students how to think critically and how to work together as a team to solve problems that do not have clear and obvious solutions. If our students today are to be successful in the world of tomorrow, these skills are essential.
CCCA provides a wealth of opportunities for students to gain skills, credentials, and college coursework before graduating. The work that the students do in our Broadcasting, Culinary, Masonry, and Metals departments is nothing short of amazing! At CCCA, we believe in experiential learning where students get to work on activities in the field just as if that were their career. These opportunities provide them with experience and real-world problems that cannot often be duplicated within the four walls of a classroom.
Our students have competed and won numerous contests and recognition at the local, regional, state, and national level. Additionally, they have earned many degrees, certifications, and credentials through SCC and have went on to be top achievers in colleges and universities around the state.
We are sometimes asked why our mascot is the PRIDE instead of just a Lion. We chose the PRIDE because it is a pack of Lions. We all work together as a team and we are proud of our students and our staff and the great work they do. Finally, the work we do would not be possible without the support of our board of education, our parents, and our business and community members who have helped us to grow and provide a service to our community. Yes, we are the PRIDE and we’re proud of each of our lions!
